On Monday, the start of National School Counseling Week, Allentown School District elementary schools received a donation of playhouses to encourage student mindfulness. Through the sponsorship of State Farm Agent Shawn Leh, all 15 elementary school counselors’ offices received a calming cottage playhouse, a product from Make It Cute.

The local State Farm agency also sponsored mindfulness education for 15 students for a year. Make It Cute was founded by ASD alumni Anne Hoehn, Maureen North and Amanda Seyfried, the award-winning actress best known for her roles in “The Dropout” and “Mama Mia!” The company creates sustainable, decorative playhouses for children.
