The families of both pedestrians, identified as Jane Doe, 43, and John Doe, 44, by the coroner’s office, have been notified, but their identities were not released by the coroner to give families time to grieve, according to a news release.

The accident is under investigation by the Allentown Police Traffic Reconstruction Unit, Lehigh County district attorney’s office and the coroner’s office.
